Filing a Complaint with the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending

Recovery Fund Information

The Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending maintains a Recovery Fund to reimburse borrowers for certain actual out-of-pocket damages caused by acts of licensed residential mortgage loan originators. Before a claim can be paid from the Recovery Fund, a written application for reimbursement must be filed with and investigated by the Department.
